What is your warranty?

We carefully inspect each band and box before we ship it to you to ensure there are no defects.  Our goal is to provide you with a band and box that you will be proud to show your family and friends.

Should you not be pleased with your band or box upon receiving it, please let our customer service team know as soon as you can. When you buy from Jude Ridge, you have 60 days to return or exchange your purchase. No questions asked. When our customers are happy, we are happy.

Or, if you’d rather verify your band size in person and are brave enough to take on what awaits you, we actually encourage you to visit one of those mall jewelry stores to determine your size. How should my band fit?

Band fit really comes down to personal preference. You do not want your band too tight to the point that it is uncomfortable, nor do you want your band too loose to the point that it is slipping off your finger. Generally, the ideal band fit should come off of your finger with some force, but not so much force to the point that you are straining to get it off.


What happens if I order the wrong size ring?

Tungsten carbide bands cannot be sized and therefore must be purchased in the correct size in order to ensure proper fit. We understand that many of our customers may not know their ring size and might accidentally order the wrong size ring.  To help you in this process, we can ship you a band sizer for free. How wide are your bands?

All of our bands are 8mm wide. An 8mm wide band is almost a third of an inch wide.


What size bands do you have available?

Generally, we carry sizes 7 through 14, including half sizes.  Size 10 is the most common band size for men and size 6 is the most common band size for women.  Many of our bands can be made in smaller or larger sizes upon request.

What is tungsten carbide?

Tungsten carbide is the most scratch resistant metal known to exist and does not bend like precious metals. It maintains its finish, has a heavy weight and is also hypoallergenic.

Tungsten carbide is two times denser than steel, two times harder than titanium, ten times harder than 18K gold and is rated at a 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. A diamond, which is the hardest substance on earth, is rated at a 10.

Tungsten has the highest melting point of all metals at approximately 5,200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Tungsten carbide is not indestructible. While it is extremely scratch resistant and does not bend due to its hardness, it can break or crack if enough force is applied to it.

Tungsten carbide is the number one selling metal for men’s wedding bands in the United States.


Can tungsten carbide bands be sized?

Due to their extreme hardness, Tungsten Carbide bands cannot be resized. For this reason, you will need to order the correct size.

Please note that in most cases your band size can fluctuate throughout the day approximately a half size due to the temperature, humidity and other factors.

Why choose tungsten carbide over precious metals?

Tungsten carbide is a relatively new metal being used in jewelry that has quickly gained popularity due to its heavy weight, scratch resistance and durability. Most precious metals are light, can easily be scratched, bend and in some cases tarnish over time.  Since Tungsten carbide is a non-precious metal, another great benefit other than its physical characteristics is affordability. How do I care for a tungsten carbide band?

Caring for a tungsten carbide is very simple. The best way to clean a tungsten carbide band is with mild dish soap, water and a clean cloth. Soak the ring for several minutes, rinse and wipe dry with the clean cloth. Given that tungsten carbide bands are permanently polished a quick soak and wipe down will remove all the residue and have your ring looking great.


Is tungsten carbide completely scratch resistant and indestructible?

Tungsten carbide is the most scratch resistant and hardest metal.  This means that no metal can scratch tungsten carbide, however non-metals such as diamonds, sapphires and other crystals that are harder than tungsten carbide can scratch it.

Tungsten carbide is so hard that it does not bend like other metals.  However, it can crack or break, similar to how a diamond is extremely hard, but can also break or crack.

Unfortunately, there is nothing in this world (that we’re aware of) that is completely scratch resistant and indestructible.


Why is tungsten carbide the most scratch-resistant metal known to man?

Tungsten molecules weave themselves together similar to a chain-link fence, which gives it extreme hardness. Tungsten carbide is so tough that it is sometimes classified as a ceramic, which is known for its ability to withstand high temperatures and resist wear. This is why tungsten carbide is used within the aerospace industry and also to make industrial tools that operate in rugged conditions.


What color is tungsten carbide?

Naturally, tungsten carbide is gray in color, but it can be plated black or white, similar to the color of platinum.


Are there any differences to a black tungsten carbide band?

Naturally, tungsten carbide is gray in color, but it can be plated black or other colors. Black tungsten carbide rings are plated, much in the same way as a white gold. While tungsten carbide is scratch-resistant, in some cases under extreme contact the plating can be scratched or chipped. It is more difficult to scratch a black plated tungsten carbide band than it would be to scratch a traditional precious metal band, but the black plating on a tungsten carbide band is not scratch resistant.

If you work with your hands, are active outdoors or work out a lot, you may want to consider a plated tungsten carbide band as your band for special occasions and a non-plated tungsten carbide band as your band for daily wear.

Natural tungsten carbide is gray in color and has superior scratch resistance. Tungsten carbide bands are by far the most durable, longest lasting band you can buy.


Should I avoid my band making contact with abrasive surfaces?

Yes. While tungsten carbide bands are extremely durable and scratch-resistant, abrasive surfaces can embed materials into your tungsten ring that gives the appearance of scratching. The plating such as on a black tungsten carbide band can be scratched by abrasive surfaces since the plating is applied over the tungsten carbide band which is naturally gray in color.

Are tungsten carbide bands for men or women?

Oftentimes, tungsten carbide is thought of as being a men’s selection. However, we have found that both men and women equally enjoy the look, feel and durability of a tungsten carbide band. There are no rules when it comes to a man or woman’s choice of band. It’s all personal preference. Some women like having a tough, durable band as an alternative to their traditional band that they can wear in the workplace or for other activities. Some women choose to wear their tungsten carbide band as their primary band and only wear their engagement ring for special occasions since tungsten carbide can withstand everyday wear without breaking down like precious metals do in some cases.


Do your tungsten carbide bands contain nickel?

While our bands are primarily made of tungsten carbide, they do contain a small amount of nickel-binder alloy. Nickel is used as a binder metal to alloy or “cement” tungsten carbide, which helps its strength and durability.

Tungsten carbide with nickel-binder alloy is generally considered to be hypoallergenic that will not cause rash or irritate the skin. If you have highly sensitive skin, please consult your physician to discuss what may be the best metal choice for your band.


If tungsten carbide contains nickel-binder alloy, does that mean I can get an allergic reaction?

In most cases, people that are allergic to white gold because of the high nickel content do not have allergies to tungsten because the amount of nickel-binder alloy in tungsten carbide is very small.

Tungsten carbide with nickel-binder alloy is generally considered to be hypoallergenic that will not cause rash or irritate the skin. There are rare cases of people with extremely sensitive skin who do have an allergic reaction to tungsten carbide. If you have highly sensitive skin, please consult your physician to discuss what may be the best metal choice for your band.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Unless otherwise noted, all of our bands are generally in stock and will ship out within 24-48 hours of your order being placed.  All orders to US addresses include free shipping and generally deliver within 7 days of your order shipping out.  All international orders include free shipping and generally deliver within 14 days of your order shipping out.

You will receive an order confirmation upon completing your purchase, which will contain tracking information that you can use to track your order.


How do I track the location of my package?

I live outside of the United States. Can I still order from Jude Ridge?

Definitely! We know that people all around the world want a premium band, premium wood box and free shipping at a great price without all the hassle of traditional shopping in-stores. We suggest that our international customers take extra care to confirm their band size prior to ordering.


Will I pay customs taxes for international orders?

Each country varies in how they tax imported items.  You may have to pay taxes on your purchase when it arrives. If so, this is usually taxed at the same rate as you country’s VAT tax.  To determine your local tax rate, please contact your local customs agency. Your local postal facility should also be able to assist as well.


How do you calculate international taxes, customs fees or duties?

If your order is shipping outside of the United States, you are likely to be charged customs fees (taxes, duties, processing fees, etc.) before delivery can be completed. If you are not familiar with the customs fees in your country, please check with your local customs office for more information. If you refuse to pay the customs fees when your order arrives, the shipment will be returned.

We are unable to estimate customs fees, taxes, duties, etc. The delivery of your order could be delayed due to customs processing. If your order does not arrive in a reasonable amount of time, you should check with your local customs office to see if they are holding the package for payment of fees. Also, some customs offices will send a separate invoice for your customs fees that could arrive several weeks after you receive your shipment.

Please research the customs charges in your country before you order. Due to international shipping law/practices, we are unable to declare merchandise as a “Gift” on customs forms.

There are a number of different sizing systems used in various countries and regions of the world. If you know your size within the region you live in but not how that translates to US sizing, please contact our customer service team to let them know your size. Absolutely!  First, we want to share our sincere gratitude for all the brave men and women serving our country all around the world. Should I wear my band while using chemicals?

No. Working with chemicals while wearing your band can cause the chemicals to become trapped under the band. Anytime you intend to use chemicals we recommend removing your band until you can thoroughly wash all potential residue from your skin.


Should I avoid inflicting my tungsten carbide band with intentional damage?

That would be a yes! While you may see individuals in videos attempting to intentionally damage their tungsten carbide bands we do not recommend this. Tungsten carbide bands are the strongest bands available and will not bend. That being said tungsten carbide bands can crack or break when struck with excessive force at the wrong angle. We recommend you avoid striking your band on hard surfaces or with blunt objects.


Where is Jude Ridge located?

Jude Ridge is an online retailer based and operated out of South Carolina in the United States. All of our premium tungsten bands and premium wood boxes ship out of Virginia in the United States.


Do you have a store I can visit?

No. Jude Ridge is exclusively an online retailer. Because there is no need to cover things like traditional store overhead, we can provide our customers with exceptional quality and value.


What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Visa/Debit, prepaid Visa or prepaid Mastercard or Paypal. Jude Ridge does not have any promo codes available. Instead, we choose to give you the best value for our premium bands and premium boxes all the time. Can I upgrade my shipping method after my order is processed?

Can I make changes to or cancel my order?

Although order change or cancellation requests are not guaranteed, we always make every effort to accommodate your request. When will my order be processed?

Most in-stock orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. US orders with an express shipping method – placed prior to 3 PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday – are processed and shipped the same day.

All new orders are subject to address and billing verification. Some orders, regardless of shipping method, are placed on hold if the customer information does not allow authorization.

We are unable to cancel, change, or make any edits to an order once it reaches the processing state. An order in the processing state is being prepared for shipping and can no longer be edited.

All orders are placed carefully inside of a nondescript cardboard box for shipping. This is to help maximize security by not displaying the contents of your package.


Are there requirements for how my return or exchange needs to be shipped back to you?

If you are using our postage pre-paid return label, just secure it the outside of your package and it will come right back to our warehouse to be processed by our returns department.

If you are not using our postage pre-paid return label, your return or exchange shipment must include tracking and insurance. For your convenience, you may arrange with our customer service team for a call tag to be sent to you for use in shipping the package via United Parcel Service (UPS). Where should I send my return or exchange?

If you are using our postage pre-paid return label, just secure it the outside of your package and it will come right back to our warehouse to be processed by our returns department.

What form will my refund take?

All refunds will be credited to the original payment source. If the original payment source is unavailable, you may choose to have the refund issued as an electronic gift certificate transmitted to the email address provided when the order was placed or to be issued a refund check mailed to the billing address provided on your order.


What if my return or exchange is lost in the mail?

No refunds or exchanges will be issued for items not received by our returns department.
